Mrs. VIRGINIA E. JAMES wrote a wonderful cook book in 1892. It’s title is
simply wonderful! The Key to Good Cooking with Complete Instructions in Household Management Designed To Meet the Requirements of Common Every-Day Use in the Country and Village Homes of the Present Day. Don’t you find yourself wanting to take and huge breath of clean, fresh, cool air after reading its title?! Imagine trying to follow the teachings and instructions of this book on life’s management!! Have you ever heard of this book before? Thanks for any interest.

I have the book with the title “Mother James’ Key to Good Cooking with etc.” published in 1892.
In 1894 it was re-printed with the title “Stagmaier & Fletcher’s Key to Good Cooking with etc.” and had the addition of several pages added with ads for Stagmaier & Fletcher products. Virginia E. James name appeared 2/3 down the page.
Some of the receipts are almost identical to those in earlier cookbooks.
